You can choose to permanently delete your account (with a 30-day grace period) or temporarily deactivate it if you just need a break. Both options are available via the platform or by contacting support.
Whether you are leaving us for good or just taking a holiday, you have full control over your account status.
If you wish to close your account permanently, you can request this directly through the Taskbear web or mobile app.
How to delete your account:
Go to My Profile.
Select Account.
Tap Delete Account.
Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your request.
The 30-Day Grace Period:
Your account is not deleted instantly. Instead, it enters a 30-day pending deletion state.
Changed your mind? If you log back into your account during these 30 days, your deletion request will be automatically cancelled, and your account will be reactivated immediately.
After 30 days: If you do not log in, your account and personal data will be permanently erased. Note that we may retain certain transaction records for up to 90 days or longer to meet legal and tax obligations.
If you want to take a break from Taskbear without losing your profile, reviews, and history, you can choose to deactivate temporarily.
How to deactivate:
Currently, you can request a temporary deactivation by contacting our support team.
Email it@taskbear.com.au with the subject line "Request to Deactivate".
You can specify a timeframe (e.g., "Deactivate for 2 months") or leave it open-ended.
What happens while deactivated?
Your profile will be hidden from other users.
You will not receive new job alerts or messages.
To return: Simply contact support again to reactivate your account when you are ready to come back.
