Your Taskbear profile allows the community to get to know you. Whether you are hiring, helping, or offering services, accurate details are crucial for safety and success.
Your bio is the first thing people read. It’s your chance to show you are a real, reliable person.
For Posters:
Be Friendly: A simple "Hi, I'm [Name]" goes a long way.
Be Clear: Mention the types of tasks you usually need help with (e.g., "Busy professional often needing help with garden maintenance and deliveries").
Build Trust: A completed bio shows Taskers you are serious about your job posts.
For Taskers :
Highlight Skills: Clearly list what you can do (e.g., "Licensed Electrician," "IKEA Assembly Expert").
Mention Tools: Do you have a ute, a van, or specific tools? List them!
Experience: "5 years of experience in removalist work" helps you win jobs.
Qualifications: Mention any licenses or certifications you hold.
For Helpers (Hourly Support):
Focus on Reliability: Taskers hire Helpers for support. Emphasize that you are punctual and hardworking.
Physical Ability: If you can lift heavy items or have stamina for labor, state it clearly.
Attitude: "Ready to work and follow instructions" is a great selling point.
You can update your personal information in the Account Settings or Edit Profile section of the app.
Changing Your Display Name:
You must use your legal name.
Important: If you have already completed Identity Verification (ID Badge), your name must match your ID. If you change it to something that doesn't match, you may lose your badge or require re-verification.
Updating Your Phone Number:
We use your mobile number for secure login codes and urgent notifications.
If you change your number, you will need to verify the new one via SMS code.
Updating Your Email Address:
This is your primary login method and where we send receipts.
Ensure this is an email you check regularly.
Updating Your Home Address:
Your physical address helps us show you relevant local tasks or Taskers.
Privacy: Your exact address is never shown publicly. It is only shared with the other party after a task is assigned.
To make posting jobs or finding work easier, you can save frequently used addresses (e.g., "Home," "Office," "Rental Property").
How to Add: Go to Profile > Add or Edit Address and tap "Add New."
For Posters: This allows you to post a job with one tap, rather than typing the address every time.
For Taskers: This helps the app alert you to jobs in your specific area or radius.
